Located in Bayswater and Queens Park London, Mr Fish is a local institution for traditional fish and chips. During the Queens Park restaurant refurbishment, it was decided that the Mr Fish online presence was to be also refreshed.
WordPress Project Requirements
The new Mr Fish website required the following features and functionality:
- Create a responsive website that is representative of Mr Fish branding and offers retina display
- Display menu options for both Bayswater and Queens Park
- Offer visitors sign-up to the restaurants newsletters and Loyalty Card offerings
- Profile the latest and greatest restaurant reviews from satisfied customers.
The sites includes a number of plugins to support the WordPress CMS, primarily MailChimp for WordPress light for capturing registrations for email newsletters and Rich Reviews which enables Mr Fish administrators to add new restaurant reviews to the site’s homepage.
The mobile responsive theme includes click-to-call functionality and tap to open address in google maps. Everything that a restaurant website could ask for.
Mr Fish now has a fresh new site, optimised using Yoast’s WordPress for SEO plugin and responsive for the needs of mobile and tablet visitors. The restaurant’s two sites have individual offerings which is highlighted via the restaurant links from the site’s sidebar navigation. Visitors can request a table booking via the site’s ‘book a table’ page and Google+ restaurant pages including 360 tour and location maps are also linked from the site.
Support and Maintenance
Mr Fish opted to receive continued support and maintenance from Inside Left after the projects completion, which ensures that the site is updated with the latest WordPress releases, back-ups performed and support available for any little issues that might arise.
