There are tennis clubs and then there is Incerve. Incerve.com is the UK’s first online tennis club aimed to bring lovers of tennis together. Regardless of level or ability, Incerve.com offers the opportunity to play more tennis, get fitter, healthier and learn from Britain’s best players and coaches.
At the time Incerve approached Inside Left for Web Services, the team had worked hard to bring professional players and tennis clubs onboard. As Incerve’s membership grew, they needed their online presence to support the following:
– Communicate what is “Incerve”;
– Profile players, clubs and benefits;
– Provide a registration and payment facility for visitors to join Incerve.com;
– MailChimp integration for collection of registration data and ongoing communications.
In response to the brief, Inside Left provided guidance in finding the theme Sport, which minimised vast HTML and styling requirements, thereby minimising cost as well as providing development resources for SmartDebit Payment Gateway integration.
WP Store Locator enables visitors to search Incerve’s affiliated clubs and the Incerve administrator can add attributes such as location, court surface and rates. A ‘book now’ link sends requests to Incerve administrator for processing.
MailChimp for WordPress Lite offers sign up facilities for free and premium membership enabling the club to keep in contact with members. As the database grows, the clubs will continue to build its profile and following via Facebook and Twitter as well as email marketing communications and events.
The site will be phased to add further functionality to enhance the club offerings including a club login portal as well as offering members and visitors greater online engagement with coaches and professional players.
For now, Incerve.com is live and actively recruiting new members to their existing membership base. All Incerve members now have access to tennis clubs without paying large membership fees as well as the opportunity to get to know and play with some of the best players in the world.
Inside Left did a really good job on understanding the customer journey of our site. Our previous site was messy and not customer-friendly at all.
